Adeline M. Hallberg

Adeline Marie (Ohrstrom) Hallberg, age 87, passed away on April 11, 2022, at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Adeline was the middle daughter born to Waldemar and Helen (Tomasik) Ohrstrom on April 2, 1935, in the Town of Catawba. She was the 1952 valedictorian of Prentice High School, and married Rune Hallberg on June 10, 1961. They became parents to two daughters in the following years.
At the age of 22, Adeline began building what would become a lifelong career at Prentice Hydraulics/Omark/Blount Industries before retiring as Financial Controller 37 years later in 1994. She was a dedicated member of Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Prentice for many decades, serving as church organist on countless Sundays. Her family and community were very important to her, and she used her time and talents to help others whenever there was a need. Over the years, she enjoyed golf, bowling, crocheting, Swedish weaving, quilting, cooking, fishing, playing cards, telling jokes and laughing along with The Andy Griffith Show or Everybody Loves Raymond.
She is survived by a loving family: her two daughters, Heidi Hallberg Zeimentz and her husband Joe, Cross Plains, Wisconsin, and Charise Hallberg and her partner Lance Balla, Seattle, Washington; by three grandchildren, Emily Zeimentz of Eugene, Oregon, Julia Zeimentz and Michael Zeimentz, both of Madison, Wisconsin; by one sister, Genevieve Kurth-Lesak of Hales Corners, Wisconsin; by one brother-in-law, Ronald DeBoth of Prentice, Wisconsin; her nieces, nephews, cousins, and the countless friends and lives Adeline has touched throughout her life.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, April 29, at the Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home, 284 Chestnut Street, Phillips, WI, with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Reception to follow in Prentice.
