Agnes M. Bishop, 96, a lifelong resident of Tomahawk passed away Sunday, May 04, 2014 at her home under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice. Ag was born on December 22, 1917 in Tomahawk to Henry and Elvira (LeClerc) Extrom. She was married to Lawrence "Iggy" Bishop on August 24, 1940 also in Tomahawk. He passed away in 1997. Ag was first employed at the Tomahawk Paper Mill for a number of years. She later owned and operated with her husband the Highland Egg Farm in Tomahawk for 30 years. She loved flowers and was a longtime member of the Northwoods Garden Club. She also enjoyed baking, traveling, fishing, and going for a swim in Lake Clara. Most importantly, Ag loved her family. She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Survivors include: 2 Daughters; Cheryl (Walter) Hobbs Tomahawk Marjorie (Rick) Nieman Tomahawk 3 Sons, Lawrence (Barbara) Bishop Tomahawk Tom (Lynn) Bishop Tomahawk Kent (Mary) Bishop Tomahawk Ag is further survived by 10 Grandchildren and 15 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Iggy, Brother, Keith Extrom, and 2 Sisters, Marjorie Peterman and Donna Kamrath. A Memorial Mass for Agnes Bishop will be held on Wednesday, May 7th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family. The Bishop family extends their appreciation to those that helped Ag stay in her home, especially, Mary Bishop, Lisa Miller, A La Carte Care, and Ministry Home Care Hospice.
