Albert D. Hanson, age 98, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at Golden Living - Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk.
Al was born on May 13, 1914 in Houston, Texas the son of Albert F. and Mary Hanson. He married Helen M. Rice on March 15, 1944 at Fort Knox, Kentucky, she survives. He had grown up in the LaCrosse area and moved to Tomahawk following his service to our country in the US Army during World War II. Al had been the Plant Manager for Skel Gas in Tomahawk for many years. He was a former member of the Tomahawk Oddfellows organization and was a past Commander of the Tomahawk American Legion. He enjoyed nature, cars and car shows, and he was an accomplished handyman. Al was also a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Tomahawk.

Sister, Bernice Armstrong Evansville, Indiana
Al is further survived by 3 Grandchildren, Shane Hanson, Laura and Eric Hoppe and 3 Great Grandchildren, Lydia, Sylvia & Mia Hanson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Molly.
Funeral Services with military rites for Albert D. Hanson will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from the Tomahawk United Methodist Church. Rev. Allan Christensen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Tuesday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
