Albert W. "Al" "Abe" Itzin, age 94, 1000 Day Street, Rhinelander, passed away January 19, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rhinelander.
Al was born October 20, 1915 in Burlington, the son of William and Mary (Ehlen) Itzin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines, serving from 1934 - 1938. He married Helen B. Huse on December 23, 1937 in Milwaukee; she passed away March 07, 2002. After working for Harnischfeger Corporation, Al drove streetcars, then buses, for the City of Milwaukee from 1943 until his retirement in 1978. He moved to Tomahawk in 2002 to be near his daughter, Sue. Al was very devoted to his wife and family, and enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and playing sheepshead.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 brothers - John, Charles, and Martin Itzin, and 2 sisters - Catherine Corbett and Gertrude Tauscher.
A Memorial Mass for Albert Itzin will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, February 19, 2010 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday the 19th from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 12:00 noon.
