ALICE G. POUBA
Alice G. Pouba, 71, Park Falls, died on Monday, April 3, 2017, at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
She was born on September 4, 1945, in Phillips, the daughter of Clarence and Bertha (Ringersma) Schilling.
She spent her early life and schooling in Phillips, She attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1963.
She was married to Charles “Chuck” Pouba on June 24, 1967, in Phillips. They would have celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in June.
In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren, crossword puzzles and reading.
She is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck”, Park Falls, by 2 daughters: Suanne (John) Cavanaugh, Port Washington, Wi., and Janine (Ken) Pulvermacher, Menomonee Falls, Wi., 4 grandchildren: Jill, Kate, Ally, and Emma, 3 sisters: Grace Gray, Lexington, Neb., Ann “Tike” (Bob) Hammerstrom, Flower Mound, Tx., and Nancy (Bob) Dragovich, Fifield, by 2 Sisters-In-Law: Kathy Schilling, Phillips, and Helen (Jim) Palmquist, Brantwood, and by 1 Brother-In-Law George Pouba, Oshkosh, Wi.,
She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother Clarence “Clink” Schilling.
A memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, April 10, 2017, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, Phillips, with Pastor Matthew Arneson of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Friends may call at the church from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place at the Lakeside Cemetery, Phillips at a later date.
The Heindl Funeral Home, Phillips, is in charge of the arrangements.
