Alvin P. Ruplinger, age 84, N9950 Loop Road, Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Alvin was born June 3, 1929 in Marathon, the son of Alphonse and Frieda (Krusel) Ruplinger. He married Carol Schmit on January 9, 1954 in Tomahawk. Alvin was employed for many years with Owens-Illinois/PCA Tomahawk Mill, and also worked as a logger. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman, and enjoyed his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.
Survivors include: wife, Carol Ruplinger, Tomahawk; children, Dr. Jacqueline Ruplinger, Colombia, Missouri, Thomas Ruplinger, Plover, Paul (Arlene) Ruplinger, Tomahawk, Jane (Andrew) Ward, Chester, Maine; siblings, Ralph Ruplinger, Tomahawk, Marie Farrand, Merrill, Malaine Martin, Springfield, Tennessee, Berdella (Ed) Bogard, Appleton, Betty (Don) Schmit, Tomahawk.
Alvin is further survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant son, and two sisters - Dorothy Schmit and Evelyn Armotoski.
In accordance with Al's wishes, a private family gathering will be held.
