Angelo "Angie" Martello, age 81, N10994 Spring Creek Drive, Tomahawk, passed away April 28, 2009 at Season of Life Hospice House in Woodruff.
Angie was born April 4, 1928 in Chicago, the son of Marco and Maddalena Martello. He married Beverly Franzen on June 19, 1954 in Chicago; she passed away in 1982. Angie served his country in the Korean War with the U.S. Army 24th Infantry Division. He was a firefighter with the Chicago Fire Department from 1954 until his retirement in 1973. Following his retirement, he moved to the Tomahawk area. He was employed with Tomahawk Savings & Loan in the maintenance department for many years. He enjoyed playing cribbage and horseshoes, shooting pool, and traveling. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

1 son Mark (Kelly) Martello San Antonio, Texas
Angie is further survived by 1 granddaughter - Maddalena Martello, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Beverly, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
A Memorial Mass with a preceding Military Tribute for Angelo "Angie" Martello will be held at Noon on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at Noon.
