Anita Van Oosterhout, age 81, 927 E. Somo Ave., Tomahawk, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Anita was born September 14, 1931 In Celle, Germany, the daughter of Ernst and Elsie (Muller) Bartels. She married Adrian Van Oosterhaut on April 17, 1960 in Chicago; he passed away in 1986. She later met Peter A. Voermans, who was her long-time companion until the time of his death. Anita came to the United States in 1959, and lived in Chicago before moving to Tomahawk in 1972. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, and crocheting. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Anita is further survived by her niece and good friend - Louise (Leo) Pintens of Harrison, and Milan (Kay) Buege of Wausau.
Funeral Services for Anita Van Oosterhout will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Deacon Dave Bablick will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery in Harrison.
