Ann Freude, age 60, N10123 Kings Road, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2009 at her residence surrounded by her family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ann was born February 23, 1949 in Stevens Point, the daughter of John and Esther (Guth) Egenhoefer. She married Tom Freude on June 21, 1975 in Stevens Point. Ann was an elementary school teacher with the Mosinee School District for 3 years, and the Tomahawk School District for 20 years, retiring in 2004. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk, where she formerly taught CCD and marriage classes. Ann was formerly on the Kinship Board of Directors. She enjoyed spending time at the cottage on Crescent Lake, sewing, biking, kayaking, camping, and animals - especially her dog, Gabby.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ann Freude will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. Edward Powell will officiate. The family will receive friends at Krueger & Sons Funeral Home on Friday, May 15th from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at the Guardian Angel Cemetery in Stevens Point.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Kinship of Tomahawk. A scholarship will be established in Ann's name for an education major graduating from Tomahawk High School.
