Anna M. Scholz, age 93, N8889 Faust Road, Tomahawk, passed away April 3, 2009 at Golden Living Center - Rib Lake. Anna was born September 28, 1915 in Greenwood, the daughter of Fred and Martha (Pecky) Steinman. She married Joseph Scholz on September 24, 1935 in Rib Lake; he passed away October 18, 1988. Anna enjoyed playing horseshoes, shooting pool, playing sheephead, and knitting. Anna was an avid hunter - still hunting with her sons at the age of 88. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: 7 sons Bernie (Geri) Scholz Fred (Peggy) Scholz Paul (Gayle) Scholz all of Tomahawk Jerry (Ruth) Scholz Chicago Joe (Dale) Scholz Art (Terry) Scholz Dave (Sherry) Scholz all of Tomahawk 6 daughters Celia Weber Cedarburg Darlene Jaeger Ann (Leroy) Wilhelms Birdie Scholz all of Tomahawk Terry Mohr Rib Lake Mary Lou (Alan) Dean Tomahawk 2 sisters Helen Bokath Arizona Ella Wilhelms Chicago Anna is further survived by 30 grandchildren, 44 great grand children, and many great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter, 1 grandson, and 5 sons-in-law. A Mass of Christian Burial for Anna Scholz will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7th at Krueger & Sons Funeral Home, with a Vigil Service to begin at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
