Annabell Ecklund, age 91, Tomahawk, passed away June 9, 2010 at Golden Living Center - Riverview in Tomahawk. Annabell was born March 14, 1919 in Coloma, the daughter of Gustave and Anna (Buschke) Heller. She married Edward Ecklund on June 6, 1942 in Tomahawk; he passed away in 1998. Annabell was a teacher at the rural schools in Tomahawk for 12 years. She loved gardening and enjoyed traveling with her family. She was a member of the Saints n' Swingers, the Retired Educators of Wisconsin, and was a very active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: Sister Almira "Tootie" Conant Tomahawk Annabell is further survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son - Gary, husband - Ed, and 1 brother. Funeral Services for Annabell Ecklund will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010 from St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tomahawk. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of services at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Tomahawk.
