ANNABELLE RETZLAFF
Annabelle Arline Retzlaff, 83, Town of Harmony, died at her home on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, while under the care of her family and Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. She was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, on January 3, 1932, the daughter of Richard “Red” and Ruby (Tague) Hollinger. She was married to Lawrence “Larry” Retzlaff on September 19, 1965, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. She had been a member of Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Catawba, and of the Harmony Homemakers. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and spending time with and caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by ten children, Virginia Fuchs, Phillips, Arlene (Mark) Birdeau, Catawba, Kathy (Don) Nabbefeld, Catawba, Wayne, Catawba, Carl (Adella), Catawba, Cheryl Halmstad, Phillips, Jeff (Tammy), Catawba, Jim (Diana), Tomah, WI, Brian (Rhonda), Phillips, and Lori Schmidt, Phillips; by 36 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and by one great great grandson; and by six brothers and sisters, Elaine (John) Merchant, Sioux City, Iowa, Jesse O’Brien, Lockhart, Texas, Carol Hollinger, Ohio, Edwin (Elaine) Hollinger, Sobieski, WI, Raymond (Janice) Hollinger, Phillips, and Linda Savory, Zion, Illinois. She is preceded in death by one son, Rubert; by one daughter, Debra; by two brothers, Milo Hollinger and Richard “Dick” Hollinger; and by two sisters, Eva Hinder and Marlene Garza.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 9, at Saint Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Catawba with Deacon James Celba officiating. Inurnment will be in the Catawba Cemetery in Caawba, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services.
