AUDREY KUSCH
Audrey Ann Kusch, 88, Phillips, died in the aspires Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips on Saturday, June 29, 2019, while under the care of Flambeau Home Health and Hospice. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 26, 1930, the daughter of Julius and Julia (Boncel) Zaves. She attended High school and college in Milwaukee. She was married to Edward Kusch in Milwaukee in 1954. She was employed in the office at Gimbel’s Department Store in Milwaukee. Edward died in the early 1980”s and following his death she made her home in Phillips. While in Phillips she was employed for over 20 years by the Timber Inn Motel. She was a member of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church of Phillips, and while in Milwaukee served as a Boy Scout Leader for many years. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nephews, and casino trips.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence David Kusch, Milwaukee; by one sister-in-law, Marge Zaves, Phillips; and by five nephews, Michael (Kelly) Zaves, Mark (Crystal) Zaves, Christopher (Tara) Zaves, Jeffery (Gloria) Zaves, and Daniel (Jamie) Zaves. In addieion to her husband, Edward, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and David Zaves; and by one sister, Mary Ann.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 3, at Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Gerald Hagen celebrating the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in Saint Adalbert’s Cemetery in Milwaukee. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. until the time of services.
