August “Louie” Swenson, age 92, of Tomahawk, passed away on April 29, 2020 at Howard Young Medical Center in Minocqua.
Louie was born on March 13, 1928 to August & Helen (Bloehm) Swenson. Louie worked for Tomahawk Tissue & Georgia Pacific for many years. All the while Louie was working, he also ran a dairy farm at his home. He loved being outdoors – hunting, fishing and taking his dog for walks. When he wasn’t outside, Louie liked working on puzzles, making fishing ties and creating leather wallets, purses and belts.
Louie is survived by his two nieces – Esther (Warren Short) Pagel of Tomahawk & Peggy (Ray Winker) Woller of Tomahawk; and his grandchildren – Eric Woller & Shawn (Jessica) Street. He is further survived by his great grandchildren – Cadyn Street, Cecelia Street & Aviana Woller; and his beloved dog – Danny Boy. Louie is preceded in death by his parents and sisters – Leona Swenson & Esther Pierce, brother – Albert Swenson and nephew-in-law – James Pagel.
Louie’s life will be celebrated privately. He will be buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
