Barbara Ann Meives

Barbara Ann Meives, age 77 of Phillips, WI passed away on February 4th at her residence surrounded by loved ones. Barb was born on May 30, 1947 in Phillips, WI the daughter of Joseph and Geraldine (nee Leder) Obadal. She attended and graduated from Phillips High School. Barb married George Meives on December 18, 1965, he survives.

 Barb worked for Phillips Plastics for 15 years and also worked at Totem Pole Liquors, bartended at various bars and also owned and operated Barb’s Corner Bar. She loved scratch off tickets, especially the crossword ones. She loved to go to the Casino too. She enjoyed gardening and feeding and watching the many hummingbirds and was an active member of the VFW Auxillary.

 Barb is survived by her husband George of Phillips, WI and her daughters Donna Meives of Schofield, WI and Peggy (Bryan) Wedow of Kronenwetter, WI and by her grandchildren Kaylee Wedow of Appleton, WI; Ashley Verhein of Schofield, WI and Zachary Meives of Eau Claire, WI and by her great grand children Landon, Brinley and Kaden. Further survived by her siblings Carol Ponshock, Tom and John Obadal. 

 She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Geraldine Obadal and her sister Joanne Pieper and son George J. Meives.

 Memorial Gathering for Barb will be held on Saturday, February 15th at Heindl-Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Phillips, WI from 9:30 am to 11:00 am with a Memorial Service at 11:00 am.
