Bess Wurster, age 81, N10399 S. Pine Rd., Tomahawk, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Bess was born October 19, 1929 in Hay Springs, Nebraska, the daughter of Joseph and Marzella (Horn) Thompson. She was first married to Wayne Keebaugh. She later married James Wurster in 1970 in Tomahawk. She worked road construction for Edward Kramer & Sons in Plain, Wisconsin, later worked at Drott & J.I. Case proving ground in Tomahawk, and lastly was a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Tomahawk. She enjoyed fishing, and was a devoted, life-long Green Bay Packers fan. She was active with the Town of King for many years, formerly serving as Town Clerk.
