Bette Deavers, age 87, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Ministry Sacred Heart Hospital in Tomahawk.
Bette was born January 21, 1925 in Oconto Falls, the daughter of William and Martha (Dickey) Kane. She married Francis "Fran" Deavers on April 14, 1948 in Milwaukee; he passed away February 28, 2000. Bette lived in the Milwaukee area for many years, where she worked as a Nurses' Aide and a Physical Therapy Aide. Later, she moved to the Sheboygan Falls area, and came to settle in the Tomahawk area in 1999. She was a member of the Tomahawk Red Hat Society, the Tomahawk Civics Club, TOPS, and was a volunteer with the Tomahawk Senior Center. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk.

Bette is further survived by 23 Grandchildren, 28 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass for Bette Deavers will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2012 from St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of Mass at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials are appreciated to Tomahawk Area Senior Center, Tomahawk Food Pantry, or Tomahawk Special Olympics.
