Betty Jean Junek

Betty Jean Junek, age 84, a resident of Hazelhurst, WI, passed away October 17, 2024, at Seasons of Life Hospice House in Woodruff, WI. She was born September 6, 1940, in Tomahawk, WI, to parents Gilbert and Laura Kettner. She attended Lakeland High School and Layton School of Arts. She worked at Briggs and Stratton. Betty loved to garden, do crossword puzzles, read, and fish. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Junek; parents: Gilbert and Laura; sister: Barbara Rudis; brother: Gilbert Kettner, Jr.; brother-in-law: Ralph Rudis. Betty is survived by her son: Richard Jr. and Kenneth Doyle; daughter: Lisa; grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. 

A Memorial Service for Betty will be held on Saturday, October 26th at 12:30 pm at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society.
