At age 9 Betty began spending summers at her parents resort, Al’s Sugarbush Lodge in Lac du Flambeau, eventually purchasing it with her husband in 1962. They sold it in 1973 but always called Sugarbush her home and frequently visited while recalling fond memories and happy times with friends and family.
After moving to Arbor Vitae, Betty enjoyed sports and outdoor activities. She loved to travel and explore, and had a great sense of adventure. She always made time to help out at her daughter’s restaurant and motel where her customer service skills and friendly manner shined. In her later years, her favorite pastimes were sightseeing in our beautiful northwoods or spending time in her yard. She loved her dogs and enjoyed her birds that frequented her feeders. Mostly, Betty loved spending time with her family and hugging. She will be missed dearly, and remembered for her kind nature.
She was well loved and loved well.
