Betty A. (Pucek) Westfall, age 81 of Athens passed away peacefully on February 1, 2012 at the House of the Dove, Marshfield with her family by her side. Betty was born in Waukesha County to the late Adam and Frances (Uher) Pucek on 8/26/1930. She married Burton Craig in 1950. Burton is deceased. She later married Marvin A. Westfall in Sussex on April 22, 1967. He preceded her in death in March of 2000. Betty worked at Briggs & Stratton for many years in Milwaukee until moving to Athens in 1973. After moving to Athens she worked at Mullins Cheese, Fromm Brothers, Nanik and Weyerhaeuser until her retirement. Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, fishing, listening to old country music, playing solitaire, and casino trips. She mostly loved spending time with her and Marvin's families. Survivors include three children, Michial (Sue) Craig, Sr, Racine; Candace Craig, London and Deborah (Mike) Gauerke, Athens. Three grandchildren: April Rahlf, Wausau; Dean (Becky) Gesicki, Marathon and Chad (Karen) Gauerke, Tomahawk. Five great grandchildren: Krystal, Paul and Ashley Rahlf; Charlee and Jacee Gauerke. She is also survived by four siblings, many nieces and nephews and in-laws. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin, grandson, Michial Craig Jr., five sisters and five brothers. Per Betty's request, there will be no services at this time. There will be a private graveside prayer service at a later date at St. James Rose Hill Cemetery in Sussex. Betty's children would like to thank friends and family for all the prayers and well wishes during her struggle. Also, a big thank you to the caring and compassionate staff at the House of the Dove in Marshfield.
