On Monday, December 23rd 2019, Beverly Ann Scott, age 76, loving Mother and Sister, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, after a three year battle with endometrial cancer at Seasons of Life Hospice Center in Woodruff, WI.
Beverly was born on the 5th of May, 1943 in Elizabeth, NJ. Upon her entry into this world,
Beverly was adopted by Eugene and Lillian Pettersen of Westfield, NJ. After her graduation
from Hampton Dubose Academy, in Zellwood, FL, Beverly attended and graduated from Taylor University in 1965. It was at Taylor, where she met many of her lifelong friends, most
importantly, her late husband, Mr. Ronald Scott. Later on in life, Beverly earned a second
degree in interior design and drafting at College of DuPage, in Glen Ellyn, Il. On August 28th,
1965, Beverly married Mr. Ronald Lee Scott (Racine, WI), at Racine Bible Church in Racine, WI.
Beverly and Ron raised their two children Stephen and Stephanie in Glen Ellyn, IL.
Beverly had a passion for working with her hands. This passion led her to become a talented
painter and quilter. However, her greatest passion was serving the Lord Jesus wherever HE
led her! Over many, many years of her life, Beverly was called to serve as a volunteer at Fort
Wilderness Christian Camp in McNaughton, WI. After living many years in Brussels, Belgium,
Paris, France and Austin, TX, Beverly and her husband Ron retired to Minocqua, WI in 2006.
After the death of her husband in 2013, Beverly felt the Lord directing her to become a
volunteer at Howard Young Medical Center, where she served until her death.
Beverly Scott was a member of several churches over the years from College Church in
Wheaton, Il, Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church in Austin, TX, Church of The Pines in Minocqua, WI, and eventually finding a home at Faith Evangelical Free Church in Woodruff, WI.
Beverly was preceded in death by her father Eugene, her mother, Lillian Pettersen, and her
husband Ronald Scott. She is survived by her two children Stephen Scott of Minocqua, WI,
Stephanie Scott of Glen Ellyn, IL, her two grandchildren Emily and Elisabeth Shanks of Glen
Ellyn, IL, her Great-grandchild Etiam of Glen Ellyn, IL, sister Betsy Cavanaugh (Art) of Lynchburg, Va, brother- in-law Dr. Thomas Scott (Karen) of Milwaukee, WI, two nephews Christopher Scott (Amber) of Savannah, Ga, and Adam Cavanaugh (Jeanna) of Brookneal, Va.
