Beverly Mitchell

Beverly R. Mitchell, age 84, formerly of Tomahawk, passed away on Saturday May 29, 2010 at the Wisconsin Veteran Home in King. She was born October 12, 1925 in Wausau to the late Ray and Myrtle (Larson) Johannes. After graduating from Wausau High School, Beverly went to work for the former Employers Insurance Company. She worked in Wausau, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis. She was married to L.G. Mitchell on April 21, 1951 in Wausau. They recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Beverly enjoyed playing Bridge, boating, and camping with her family. She was a Past President of the Women's Civic Club, and the Tomahawk School PTA. Later in life she enjoyed traveling to many parts of the United States with her husband, and wintering for 25 years in Lake Havasu and Bullhead City, Arizona. Survivors include her Husband, Mitch L.G. Mitchell of King, 3 Sons, Jeffrey (Catherine) Mitchell of Rothschild, Steven (Laurie) Mitchell of Tomahawk, and Mark (Sandi) Mitchell of Lawrenceville, Georgia, 1 Brother, Nolan (Marion) Johannes of Moscow, Pennsylvania, 9 Grandchildren, Molli, Carli, Nathen, Veronica, Kinsey (Matt) Christel, Rigel, Brittney, Ephraim, and Lacey, 1 great grandchild, Jack. The family would like to thank the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, as well as those who provided hospice care. A Memorial Service for Beverly Mitchell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from the United Methodist Church in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
