Bradley "Brad" Heard

Bradley "Brad" Heard, age 64 of Hazelhurst, WI passed away on Tuesday, July 2nd at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Brad was born August 1, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI the son of Raymond and Marlene (nee Larson) Heard.  

Brad grew up in Wauwatosa, the younger of 2 brothers. He graduated from Wauwatosa East and then proceeded to UW Stout where he ended with a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.

Brad was hired at Industrial Coils where he met his wife, Wanda (Campbell). They married on Feb 26, 1988. They made a life for themselves in Baraboo for 20 years where they remodeled a home that had been boarded up for years. Early on in their marriage they were blessed with a daughter, Jenna. They left Baraboo when he had a job opportunity that allowed them to fulfill a lifelong dream and move north to a house on the lake.

They lived in that house for 11 years until his passing. During that time, he enjoyed a plethora of outdoor activities. He spent many hours catching Northern on the lake, taking rides in his convertible, on his ATV, snowmobile, and motorcycle. He probably spent more time outside than in the house.

He was an incredibly generous individual who was always willing to go the extra mile for anyone. In the last few years, one of the highlights of his life was spending time with his 2 granddaughters. He also had many in-laws, nieces, and nephews that he cared for greatly.

He was pre-deceased by his mother, Marlene. He is survived by his father, Ray; wife, Wanda; daughter and son-in-law, Jenna and Justin Ward; his 2 granddaughters, Everly and Addison; and his brother, Mark (Cathy) Heard. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Visitation for Brad will be held on Wednesday, July 10th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Nimsgern Funeral Home Chapel in Woodruff, WI.
