Carol Theiler Bishop

Carol Marie Theiler Bishop, age 78, of Tomahawk, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Golden Living Center-Riverview in Tomahawk. She was born October 16, 1930 to William and Margaret Theiler in a small stone house a stones throw from the Wisconsin River in Tomahawk. On May 31, 1948 she was joined in Matrimony to James Carl Bishop. They had seven children and enjoyed a joyous life surrounded by a large, colorful grouping of friends and family. Despite a nerve disease that rendered her partially paralyzed in the mid 1960's, she always welcomed all that entered her ever open door. Aside from maintaining a boisterous household, she found time for card club ladies, oil painting, tending bar at Theiler's Tavern and many a competitive game of Smear. She is survived by Brothers, Al and Jerry, Sisters, Lila and Fuzzy, her Children, Paul, Jim, Jr. (Trinke), Jeff, Alan (Jean), Helen, Becky (Jim Lien), Brad (Sandy), a smattering of Grandchildren, a few Great Grandchildren. She lived her life well and will be fondly remembered by all lucky enough to count themselves among her family. Memorial Services for Carol Bishop will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 12 Noon from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Tomahawk, with Rev. John Anderson to officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of services at Noon. Krueger Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
