Carol J. Carstensen, 77, of Memory Lane, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Wausau Aspirus Hospital.
Carol was born September 5, 1938 in Oak Park, Illinois to Robert and Edna (Johnson) Reid. She was married to Lawrence “Chick” Carstensen on November 20, 1954 in Tomahawk. Carol had worked for the Federal Reserve as a system analyst and designer, she also worked as automation supervisor for the Military Entrance Processing Command at Great Lakes Naval Base. Chick and Carol owned and operated Northland Feed Store in Tomahawk from 1995 to 1999. Carol enjoyed birds, flowers, and puppies. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.

Carol is further survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Tom Paulsen will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Sunday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again at the church Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of mass at 11.
