Carol L. Sambs

Carol L. Sambs, age 68, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 under the care of Ministry Home Hospice at Seasons of Life in Woodruff. Carol was born on January 25, 1948 in Janesville to Elsmore and Gladys (Fisher) Howe. She was marred to R. John Sambs on August 11, 1990 in Rhinelander. Carol was an environmentalist, gardener and enjoyed the outdoors. She was a lover of all animals, especially dogs & cats. Carol is survived by her husband, R. John Sambs, of Rhinelander; her son, Trevor Lowe, of Richfield, WI; her siblings, James Johnston, of Waterford, WI & Wendy Brown, of Bradenton, Florida. She is further survived by two grandchildren, Nicole & Taylor Lowe, a niece, Drew Brown, and other relatives and friends. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Elsmore, her mother, Gladys, step father, Veril Johnston, and son Tristen. A Memorial Service Celebrating Carol’s life will take place privately.
