Carolyn J. Lorenzen, age 78, of Tomahawk died peacefully Friday, May 9 at her home on Lake Nokomis. Carolyn was born November 21, 1935, to the late Harry & Viola (Wisnefske) Kloth in Caroline, WI. She graduated from Hartford High School in 1953 and the Lutheran Hospital of Milwaukee School of Nursing in 1957. She married K Lorenzen on May 23, 1959 in Milwaukee, WI. They lived in Rhinelander and Milwaukee before settling in Fond du Lac in 1965. Carolyn and K moved to Tomahawk in 2007. Carolyn worked as a registered nurse for over 35 years at Saint Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She enjoyed music, and was an active member of her church choir and the Fond du Lac Women's Chorus. In retirement, she was a proud member of the Redeemer Lutheran family in Tomahawk and enjoyed watching the wildlife and sunsets from her home on Lake Nokomis. Carolyn is survived by: her husband K; children Lisa (Christos) Theo of Stevens Point and Eau Claire, Kurt Lorenzen of Fond du Lac, Brian Lorenzen of Fond du Lac, and Lynda (Cory) Parman of Berlin; 8 grandchildren (Antony Theo, Kyle Lorenzen, Christos Theo, Brianna Lorenzen, Joseph Theo, Aaron Lorenzen, Payton Parman, and Rylie Parman); three sisters (Jane [James] Litzau of Milwaukee, Judy DeKarske of Pelican Lake, and Mary [Joel] Strayer of Eau Claire) and one brother (James [Muriel] Kloth of Spring Green). A celebration of her life is scheduled for 1:00pm on Friday, May 16 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 16 Theiler Drive, Tomahawk, WI. Visitation will begin at 11:00am until the start of the service at 1:00pm.
