Charles E. Crass, age 85, of W7117 Spirit Haven Road, Tomahawk, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Golden Living-Riverview Nursing Home.
Chuck was born on January 23, 1928 in Tomahawk to the late August and Arvilla (Callsen) Crass. He had served his country during the Korean War as an Army Medic. He was married to Traudel Taschner on October 24, 1952 in Toronto, Canada, she passed away in 1981. Chuck later married Kathy Kaminski on March 6, 1982, also in Tomahawk, she passed away on August 11, 2012. Chuck spent 39 years in the employment of Owens-Illinois Tomahawk Mill, he retired in 1987 as pulp mill superintendent. Chuck spent 30 years on the Bradley town board, serving for 22 years as town chairman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and was the founding father of Grampa's Retreat Hunting Camp. He also had been a long time member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tomahawk.

Chuck is further survived by 2 Grandchildren, 8 Step Grandchildren, and 1 Great Grandchild.
Funeral services for Chuck Crass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial with military rites will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in the town of Bradley. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from noon until the time of services at 1:00 p.m.
