Dale A. Duranceau, 66, N10208 Pine Shore Lane, Tomahawk, passed away February 26, 2008 at his residence under hospice care.
Dale was born April 25, 1941 in Wausau to Norman and Beatrice (nee Kolpitke) Duranceau. He married Donna Theilman on November 2, 1968 in Wausau. Dale was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a life member and Past State Commander of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the American Legion and V.F.W. In his younger years, Dale had worked as a chef. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, being on his pontoon boat, woodworking and going to the casino. Dale especially loved his grandchildren. He was proud of the fact he raced stock cars against Dave Marcus and Dick Trickle when he was younger.

Dale is further survived by 5 Grandchildren. (Adam, Corrine, Blake Teske. Marissa & Makenzy Moritz) 2 Step Grandchildren (Randy Anderson, Jr., Rochelle Anderson). 2 Great Step Grandchildren, Izabelle & Rylie. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Morgan Moritz.
Funeral Services for Dale Duranceau will be held on Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the United Methodist Church. Rev. Allen Poore-Christiensen will officiate. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Wausau. The family will receive friends at the Krueger & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. The Veterans will conduct a Memorial Service at 7:30 Thursday evening at the funeral home and military rites will be held following church services on Friday. In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials.
