Dale Gaedtke, 87, a longtime Tomahawk area resident, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at Riverview Rehab and Care Center in Tomahawk.
Dale was born October 28, 1930 in the town of Cassian to Herman and Grace (Beach) Gaedtke. He was married to Patricia Ann Volen at the First Baptist Church in Rhinelander, she preceded him in death in 1996. Dale served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed at Owens-Illinois-PCA Tomahawk mill for over 40 years as a machine tender. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cribbage, casino’s, and had played in area pool leagues for many years.
Survivors include his dughter, Peggy (Todd) Schauer, Tomahawk; his son, Brad Gaedtke, Tomahawk; and his sister-in-law, Eve Gaedtke, Tomahawk.
Dale is further survived by 9 grandchildren - Mitchell, Tiffany, Jacob, Rebecca, Nathan, Hattie, Terez, Glen and John and 10 Great Grandchildren - Madison, Vanessa, Ethan, Teyha, Dawson, Cora, Olivia, Alexa, Summer and Clayton. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Funeral Services with Military rites for Dale Gaedtke will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the spring at the Prairie Rapids Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home from 2:00p.m. until the time of services at 4p.m.
