Dana McCormick, age 76 of N10311 Tannery Road, Tomahawk passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at his home under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice.
Dana was born July 20, 1934 in Stirrat, West Virginia to the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Harris) McCormick. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force-Air Police. He was married to Mary Adkins on February 8, 1955 in Huntington, West Virginia, she passed away in 2003. Dana moved his family to Tomahawk in 1968. He had been employed at Harley Davidson as a truck driver for 30 years. He was instrumental in organizing the original MDA Fall Ride in Tomahawk. Dana was a member of the Rhinelander Masonic Lodge and a former member of the Zor Temple Shriners. He enjoyed riding his Harley in local parades, traveling, reading, playing cards, spending time with his grand and great grandchildren, and helping people.

Dana is further survived by 17 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary, son, Dana, Jr., 4 Sisters, and 3 Brothers.
Funeral Services for Dana McCormick will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. from the Krueger Family Funeral Home. Rev. Charles McCormick, Dana's nephew will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in the spring. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 4 until 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 am until the time of services at 11. A military tribute service will be conducted at the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
