Daniel Wayne Baus, age 63, passed away quietly on Thursday, November 24th, 2016 in his hunting cabin after a morning walk in the snow.
Dan was born September 11, 1953 to Lambert and Garlyn (Winchell) Baus. He married Dawn LaNou in Tomahawk on September 8, 1973. He owned and operated Dan Baus Construction in Tomahawk for many years. Dan was a simple, beautiful man with a heart of gold who loved his family. Those who were lucky enough to know him know he would give the shirt off his back to anyone.
Dan is survived by his beautiful wife, Dawn; son, Jed (Ali) Baus; daughters, Beth (Michael) Connaway; and Gretchen (Matt) Moore. He is further survived by 2 grandsons, Daniel Joseph (DJ) and Maxwell.
He was loved by his seven brothers and sisters, Sandy (Roger) Grade, David (Claudia) Baus, Barbara (Dennis) Rewey, Phillip (Kaye) Baus, Christine (Terry) Clauer, Timothy (Lorinda) Baus, and Mary (Randy) Henderson.

Funeral Services for Dan Baus will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from Grace Lutheran Church. Pastor Mark Ziemer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Krueger Family Funeral Home Tuesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. and again at the church Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
The family is requesting donations in his honor to Kinship of Tomahawk to benefit local children.
