Daniel D. Johnson

Daniel D. Johnson, age 74, passed away surrounded by his family on September 2, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Dan was born on August 24, 1941 in Tomahawk to Hans & Winifred Johnson. In October of 1962, he married Carol VanRyen in Harrison; Together they had 3 children. Dan was employed at MT&W as an Engineer for over 30 years. He loved spending time at his cabin; Berry picking in the summer, hunting in the fall and snowshoeing in the winter. He was very proud of his Jeep Wranglers. Dan spent his time with his hobbies but, most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Dan & Carol were always found in the bleachers of their grandkids sporting events, and they were extremely happy to be great grandparents. Dan is survived by Wife, Carol Johnson Tomahawk 2 Daughters, Lynn (Pete) Wurl Tomahawk Lisa (Brent) Roberts Tomahawk 1 Son, Mark (Kim) Johnson Menasha 4 Grandchildren, Amanda (Greg) Hilgendorf, Brock (Chelsea Czarnecki) Roberts, Emma Wurl & Eli Wurl. 3 Sisters, Kay (Roger) Ladwig, Mary (Rod) Dering & Pat (Robert) Hibbard Dan is further survived by two great grandsons, Brody & Hunter Hilgendorf, his faithful dog, Cooper, other relatives & friends. His preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
