David Allen Merkel

David A. Merkel, age 61 of Minocqua, WI passed away on February 6th at Aspirus Wausau Hospital after a long hard fought battle with cancer. David was born on May 3, 1957 in Waukegan, IL the son of Vincent and Barbara (nee Boyke) Merkel.
He survived by his sisters: Joan Leukhardt, Pat Galens, Kay Schmidt and Lynn Wilson and long time family member, Verna Jeanotte and by many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara and father, Vincent.
Per Dave’s wishes cremation took place.
Many thanks to Aspirus Wausau Hospital staff for keeping Dave comfortable in his last days.
