David Grover

David Grover, age 73, formerly of Eagle River, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Golden Living - Golden Age Nursing Home under the care of Aseracare Hospice. Dave was born on December 27, 1940 to Fred A. & Grace (Steveling) in Detroit, MI. Dave spent most of his young years in the Detroit suburb of St. Claire Shores. In the early 50's the family moved to Hartford, WI. Dave attended Hartford Public School and graduated in 1959. In 1961, he married Judith Keller. He later married Beverly Lentz in 1975; she passed away in 2010. Dave worked in the auto repair trade, and also served on the Hartford Fire Department. He moved to Eagle River in 1995, and worked as a chef and sold auto parts until he retired. Dave enjoyed gardening, lawn care, cooking, and baking - especially chocolate chip cookies! Survivors include: children, Mary Grover, West Bend, Donald Grover, West Bend, Dennis (Debbie) Grover, Hartford; step children, Stan (Connie) Nickel, Campbellsport, Lois Herman, Manitowoc, Fred (Rita) Nickel, Adams Friendship, Kathy (John) Peutz, Sturgeon Bay, Gloria (Lynn) Hartwig, Horicon. Dave is further survived by many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife - Beverly, son - Randy, and three brothers. A Memorial Service will be held for David at the Krueger Family Funeral Home at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 31, 2014. Memorial Visitation will take place from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM.
