DAVID BOLTON
David Kent Bolton, 91, Phillips, Town of Worcester, died in the Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls on Thursday, January 24, 2019. He was born in the Town of Worcester on May 7, 1927, the son of John and Amelia (Metzig) Bolton. He served his country in the Unites States Army in the European Theater of Action during WWII, where he participated in the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp. He was married to Sharon Radiske in Phillips on January 13, 2011. He was an over-the-road truck driver, a job which he truly enjoyed, working long after most others have retired. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and logging.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; by one son, Dale (Lisa), Pewaukee, WI; by four step-daughters, Beth (Steve) Brester, Kathleen Schultz, Patricia Dauer, and Debra Duke; by 8 grandchildren by one sister, Kathryn Isaascon, Bloomiongton, Indiana; by two brothers, Robert (Betty), Helenville, WI, and Harold (Ellen), West Allis, WI; and by special friends, Jason and Christine McMillan, Phillips. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Louise; by one daughter, Shirley Ann; by one brother, John; and by one sister, Marion Brekken.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post building in Phillips on Sunday, January 27, starting at 2:00 P.M.. The Lane Kreiling American Legion Post No. 122 and the Frank and Michael Baran VFW Post No. 5778 will conduct Military Honors at 3:00 P.M.. Internment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Spooner at a later date.
