David Robert Barber
David R. Barber, 55, Phillips, died on Thursday, November 19, 2015, at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota after a short illness.
He was born on May 29, 1960, in Milwaukee, the son of Robert and Sandra (Voda) Barber. He made his home with his family in the Phillips area in 1975. He attended and graduated from Phillips High School, Class of 1978. After high school he was employed at various occupations on the Gulf of Mexico and then in California before returning to the Phillips area in 1982. He then was employed by his families business, Rose Wreath and also was an artist who created many stained glass items until ill health forced him to retire.
He was married to Donna Heitkemper. They later divorced.
In his free time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by 1 son: Brandon (Suzanne)) Barber, by 1 daughter, Elizabeth Barber, by his parents, Bob and Sandy Barber, by 1 brother James, all of Phillips.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at the Word of Life Church, Phillips, with Pastor Terry Sellers officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, from 10:00 until the time of the service
