Dean A. Denetz, born into life January 25, 1931, was born into eternal life June 21, 2008 at the Veteran's Home in King, Wisconsin. Dean was the loving son of the late August and Matilda Denetz. Dean graduated from Merrill Senior High in 1949. Following graduation, Dean was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War from 1951 through 1953. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, Dean married Lyoma "Lee' Kainz on May 29, 1954. She was born into eternal life February 6, 1996. Dean was employed with Murray's Manufacturing in Wausau for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his great grandchildren Emily and Jack play - which always put a big smile on his face. He also enjoyed laughing, joking, fishing, camping, spending hours in the woods, spending time with his special cousin - Al Denetz, flea marketing, woodworking, gardening, and feeding apples to Willy the donkey. Survivors include: Daughter Sheri (Denetz) Pudlowski Merrill Son Steve (Wendy) Denetz Tomahawk Sister Betty (Harold) Quinton Rome, Georgia 2 Brothers Rodney (Joanne) Denetz Muskego James (Charlotte) Denetz Tomahawk Grandchildren Don (Cheryl) Pudlowski Merrill Beth (Tim) Gurneyl Joliet, Illinois Melanie (Adam) Pudlowski Merrill Christopher Denetz Tomahawk Great Grandchildren Emily Dawn, Jack Kodiak, Caymi Georgieanna, and Jenna Marie Dean is further survived by a foster son - Mitchell Hisner, "special children" - Joe Nelson and Cindy Bellin/King, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers - August, David, infant James, John, Donald, and sister - Jean Marie. Funeral Services for Dean Denetz will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 from the Main Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Chapel at King. Chaplain John Schmidt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Wednesday from Noon until the hour of services at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.
