Deborah L. Tesch, age 60, of Tomahawk, passed away after a long and courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 under the care of Ministry Home Hospice.
Debbie was born in Aurora, Illinois on August 16, 1955 to Thomas & Charlette (Bean) Holt. Debbie was a speed skater in her younger years and she loved bowling. She enjoyed watching stock car races and was a die-hard Green Bay Packer & Chicago Cub fan. She retired from Houghton Mifflin after many years of service. She had been employed at Hurd Millwork in Merrill and Foster and Smith of Rhinelander. Debbie loved flower gardening and spending time with family. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, in Tomahawk. Debbie will forever be remembered for her generous heart.
Debbie is survived by her loving fiancé, Alvin “Buck” Tesch; her son, Jon Schenk; sister, Brenda (Ron) Brannan; and 2 grandsons, Sean & Demetrie. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends. Debbie is preceded in death by her parents.
The Funeral Service for Debbie Tesch will take place at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Ziemer will officiate. Visitation will take place at the church on Saturday from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM. Burial will be held at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, Illinois on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00AM.
