Denise Deborah Labarge

Denise “Mashkawigabookwe” LaBarge, age 13 of Lac du Flambeau, WI passed away with her family by her side after a courageous battle with Leukemia on Sunday, January 17th at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Denise was born on November 4, 2007 the daughter of Jerome “Booj” LaBarge and Jamie Wildcat. She attended Lac du Flambeau Grade School and was a loving babysitter for Gannon and Maxim.
Denise loved her dog Brody and everyone else’s dog. She enjoyed swimming and boating in the summer and hanging out with her family and friends and loved to travel.
She is survived by her parents Jamie Wildcat and Jerome “Booj” LaBarge and his siblings Atlantis Burgess, Jerome LaBarge, James Wildcat, Pearl LaBarge and Jessie Allen and further survived by Uncle Kevin and Auntie Chris, Auntie Vanessa and Uncle Rob, Auntie Faye, Auntie Mary Ann and Uncle Mike, Grandpa Willie and Grandma Julie, Grandpa Jerry and Linda LaBarge, Uncle Ira LaBarge, Seth LaBarge and Trinity LaBarge.
Preceded in death by Grandma Denise, Great Grandma Nora and many ancestors.
Traditional Native American Services for "Mashkawigabookwe" Denise LaBarge will take place at the LDF Abinoojiiyag Center, 13708 Youth Center Lane, Lac du Flambeau, WI on Wednesday, January 20th starting 5:00 PM for the community. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 21st at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery.
