Dennis Cronick, age 72, N11975 Cty. Rd. Y, Tomahawk, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence.
Dennis was born January 26, 1941 in Rexton, Michigan, the son of John and Frances (Kluss) Cronick. His family moved to Brantwood, where Dennis attended grade school. They later moved to the Town of Bradley. Dennis was a 1959 graduate of Tomahawk High School, and received a business degree from Drake College. He then joined and served in the United States Marine Corps for many years. He formerly lived in Houston, texas, and worked in the food and beverage industry for more than 30 years. Upon retirement, Dennis moved back to Tomahawk to care for his mother. He provided for Frances's every need until her passing in 2012. Dennis was a gentle soul who deeply loved his family and friends. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed art fairs, music, and collecting elephant statues.
Survivors include: siblings, Sandra Theiler, of Sun Prairie, Frank (Susan) Cronick, of Reno, Nevada, Mary Lou (Jeff) Visauer, of Dousman, Joseph (Susan) Cronick, of Tomahawk. Dennis is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and an aunt, Catherine Mytnik, of Columbus, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances, and a brother, John Paul Cronick.
A Memorial Mass for Dennis and his mother - Frances will be jointly held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Father John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on October 12th from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial of their ashes will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
