This is what Dennis wanted to say ---
I always said when I couldn’t hunt anymore, I wanted to go. I thank God that he answered my wish. I will miss everyone I left behind. So many people cared and helped so much these last months, from setting things up for Chris to just a phone call or visit. If I leave anyone out it’s not on purpose – I’m just not thinking so good right now.
My lifetime friends from Louis-Allis - Tom Joston, Bill Flietner and my adopted son and hunting partner Ray Haselow. From Badger Die - Cindy, who took me under her wing. My “Great up North” friends and neighbors - Dick Ferrell, John Donovan, John Beeman, Rita, Penny, Jim Robinson, Dennis Rinehart, Bill Dietz, Lee Stengele, Tim Dillon, Greg Apostoloff, Linda Barber, Mike Sleight, and everyone else that helped us out.
My second family and the place I fit in: Kelly, Dalton, Cassie, Jill, and everyone at Bear Camp. And most of all my family - Tom and Clare, Leslie, Kim and Corey (and the kids), Michael and Lisa, my grandson and his wife Alex and Meghan, my son-in-law Todd Hoffmann (Could not have asked for a better son-in-law).
Now the hardest to leave behind - my daughter- my Pigeon who I love more than anything. You made me so proud and happy. You mean everything to me. I won’t say goodbye – just night night. My wife and partner – Chris- I love you with all my heart. The rest you know, I don’t need to say more other than I miss you. And my dog Arrow, you’re a bonehead but you’re my bonehead, take care of your Mom.
I have to go now, there’s a buck coming through the woods.
