Dennis Melvin Johnson

Dennis M. Johnson, age 76 of Lake Tomahawk, WI died on Thursday, November 29th at Milestone Senior Living Center in Tomahawk, WI. Dennis was born September 29, 1942 in Waukegan, IL the son of Melvin and Marie (nee Strobl) Johnson. Dennis graduated from Marquette University and was employed with the city of West Allis, WI as a civil engineer. Dennis married Christine Rupena on February 13, 1971, she survives. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, woodworking and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Christine Johnson and children; Eric (Cheri) Johnson and Laura (Andrew) Mays and by his grandchildren; Samantha, Brook and Tyler Johnson and Jacob, Logan, Evan and Nick Mays and his mother, Dorothy Johnson and by his brothers; Bob (JoAnne) Johnson and Dean Johnson and by sisters; Pat (Mike) Hambel and Pam (Patrick) Podstawa and sister-in-law; Leslie Johnson and friends, Dennis and Reva. Dennis was preceded in death by his Father, Melvin Johnson, brother, Mick Johnson, his father and mother-in-law; Emil (Dolores) Rupena and daughter-in-laws father, Michael Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 4th from 10:00 am till 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Woodruff, WI with funeral mass at 11:00 am. Burial will take place at Wilderness Rest Cemetery in Lake Tomahawk, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Peter School in Quincy, IL Special Education fund or Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin “Be Amazing Fund”.
