Derald L. Paszek, age 63, 2502 Lake Nokomis Road, Tomahawk, passed away Sunday July 13, 2014 at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison, due to complications after a long battle with cancer. Derald was born November 1, 1950 in Milwaukee, the son of Edward and Virginia (Wadinski) Paszek. He graduated from Pius XI High School, then attended the UWSP, where he earned his degree in forestry. He was employed for more than 20 years with Owens-Illinois/PCA Tomahawk Mill as a forester in the wood procurement department. For the past 15 years, he was employed as a trucker with Roehl Transportation. Derald enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family, and was an avid Willy's Jeep collector. Survivors include: Mother, Virginia Paszek, West Allis; siblings, Gwen (John) Barczak , West Allis, Dennis (Chris) Paszek, Juneau, Donald (Mary) Paszek, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Dean Paszek, Chilton, WI. Derald is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father. A Mass of Christian Burial for Derald Paszek will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, July 18, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Father John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 1:00 PM until the hour of Mass at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Prairie Rapids Cemetery in the Town of Nokomis.
