Dolores Chaples

Dolores "Dorie" Chaples, age 74, of Little Rice, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Golden Living - Riverview Nursing Home in Tomahawk under the care of Aseracare Hospice. Dorie was born on September 31, 1941 to Joseph & Sophie (Mack) Mastej in Hammond, ID. She married Richard Chaples on March 3, 1962. They lived in Lombard, Illinois until 1988 when they moved to Tomahawk to own and operate Boomba Bar for 10 years. More recently, she worked at WalMart in Rhinelander. Dorie enjoyed gardening, cooking, shopping, and especially, her grandchildren. Dorie is survived by Husband, Richard Chaples of Tomahawk Daughter, Dawn (Mike) Milazzo of Tomahawk Son, Rik Chaples of McHenry, IL Sister, Pat Scott of Elcho She is further survived by 6 grandchildren (Jeanelle, Michelle, Brandon, Tyler, Jason, and Jacob). She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Jeff Chaples, daughter, Teri Reeves, and two grandchildren, Johnny Reeves & Jeffrey Bernard. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00PM, Noon, Monday, March 6, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Louis Reddy Maramreddy will officiate. Visitation will take place on Monday from 10:00AM until the time of Mass at noon. Burial will take place at St. Germain Memorial Cemetery.
