Dolores “Dee” Thompson, age 89, of N8651 County Hwy. E., Tomahawk, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Weston.
Dee was born on June 9, 1927 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to Worthing and Hilda (Lahn) Barr. She was married to Maurice “Tommy” Thompson on November 28, 1946 in LaCrosse. He passed away in 2012. Tommy and Dee moved to Tomahawk in 1952, she was a homemaker and had worked as a CNA at Golden Age Nursing Home for 10 years. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and following her children and grandchildren at their sporting events. She was active at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church and a former member of the Dorcus Society at church.

Dee is further survived by 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tommy, and an infant son, Dan.
Funeral service for Dee Thompson will be held on Monday, July 25, 2016, 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. Memorials are appreciated to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Association.
