Don L. Gipp

Don L. Gipp, age 63, 4925 Talbot Road, Tripoli, died unexpectedly on November 3, 2013. Don was born January 28, 1950 in Medford, the son of David and Esther (Tohm) Gipp. He married Susan Justman on March 7, 1970 in Marshfield, and on that same day, he was drafted into the U.S. Army, and served in the Vietnam War. For the past 15 years, He was the owner and operator of Gipper's Reel Em Inn located in the Willow River region. He lived for hunting and fishing, and adored his family - especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: wife, Sue Gipp, Tripoli; son, Corey (Jennifer) Gipp, Hatley; brothers, Cliff (Susan) Gipp, Northfield, Minnesota, Keith Gipp, Dorchester, Minnesota. Don is further survived by his grandchildren - Hunter and Olivia Gipp. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Funeral Service for Don Gipp will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 8, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. The family will receive friends at the Abbotsford location of the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services at 11:00 AM.
