Donald A. Freiberg, age 80, W4754 County Road A, Tomahawk, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 under the care of Ministry Home Care Hospice at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill.
Don was born August 20, 1930 to Arthur and Anna (Erickson) Freiberg. He graduated from Merrill High School and had attended the Elgin Watchmaking School. He was married to Audrey M. Duginski on October 18, 1958 in Merrill, she passed away in 1991. Don served his country during the Korean War in the US Army. He owned and operated Jones Jewelry Store in Tomahawk from 1971 until his retirement in 2008. Don was an animal lover, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Don is further survived by nieces and nephews, his lifelong friend, Donna VanSlate of Merrill, and his friends, Jesse and Joyce Riddle of Rapid City, SD.
Funeral Services for Donald Freiberg will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 from Krueger Family Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Gary Uttech will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m. Burial with military rites will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk. Memorials are appreciated to the Lincoln County Humane Society.
