DONALD HESS
Donald Henry Hess, 87, Phillips, died in the Park Monor Nursing Home in Park Falls on Thursday, April 11, 2019. He was born on September 30, 1931, in Mautson, WI the son of Henry and Ruth (Romang) Hess. He was married to the love of his life, Carol on May 2, 1953, in Pine City, MN. He was employed as a lithographer by James River in Wausau for many years. He was a member of Saint Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church of Phillips. Donald also served in the United States Marine Corp. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, mostly deer hunting with his sons and grandchildren. Watching the Green Bay Packers the Milwaukee Brewers and snowmobiling with his wife Carol.
He is survived by his four children, Jeff (Renee), Phillips, Gerald, Phillips, Heidi (Brian) Hurtis, Harshaw, WI, and Mike (Karrie), Tomahawk; by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, by 3 great greatgrandchildren; and by one sister, Darlene Wiesneski, Wausau, WI; He is preceded in death by his wife Carol and one sister, Dorothy LaPorte.
