Donald P. Herman, age 88, of N9149 Tomahawk Road, Tomahawk, Wisconsin passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Don was born on May 11, 1927 in Tomahawk to Harry and Louise (Reise) Herman. He was married to Joanne Seslar in September of 1948, she passed away in 1975. On December 23, 1978 Don married Violet Koepke also in Tomahawk, she survives. Don was employed for 34 years with Bake Rite and later Taystee Bread. Following retirement he worked at the DNR and also at Hilgy's in Tomahawk. Throughout his life, Don loved working on the family farm in his spare time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding horses, and drinking beer. His greatest love was for his family, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Survivors include: Wife, Violet 2 Sons, Lance Herman Mark (Mary) Herman Daughter-in-law, Kris Herman all of Tomahawk Step Son, Thomas (Carla) Betka Green Bay Brother, Pete Herman Delaware Sister, Liz Mott Tucson, AZ Don is further survived by 7 Grandchildren, (Bryan, Kelly, Sara, Kim, Mindy, Chad, and Megan) 12 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne, a son, Tim Herman, 7 siblings, and 2 great grandchildren. Memorial Services for Don Herman will be held on Wednesday, February 10, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Schoenherr will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
